Pittsburghers are invited to come out and learn more about the Affordable Care Act and the insurance options available to them at Heinz Field tomorrow, Thursday October 10. Application councilors will be on hand to answer consumers’ questions and provide information about how to enroll in the health insurance options in the Pennsylvania Health Insurance Marketplace.

Headlining the event will be the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Ambassador Dan Rooney, retired Steelers players, Community College of Allegheny County Interim President Michael T. Murphy, EdD and Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald.

Consumers who do not have insurance or are looking for more affordable health insurance choices can access the Marketplace online, by phone or through in-person assistance. Pennsylvanians should enroll in a plan by December 15, 2013, in order to have coverage that will begin on January 1, 2014.

Thursday’s event will run from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and is open to members of the public who RSVP to HHSIEA@hhs.gov. The speaking program will begin at 5:00 PM.
